HASHTAG coordinator Tamme van der Wal from AeroVision B.V. took the stage at SynergyDays 2025 workshop, contributing a clear and much-needed message: Europe needs convergence across agricultural data space initiatives, nor more fragmentation.
In his intervention, Tamme highlighted challenges that farmers across Europe face every day: siloed data, vendor lock-in, low interoperability, and limited control over their own data.
These issues are not abstract – they directly affect trust, data sovereignty and the responsible use of robotics, AI and IoT in agriculture.
This is where HASHTAG fits in.
HASHTAG’s work on authentication, data provenance and trusted data flows is essential for enabling the secure digital backbone that future data spaces will rely on. HASHTAG established strong alignment with initiatives such as W3DS-Agro, Hollandse Datalinie, CEADS – Common European Agricultural Data Space, BO Akkerbouw and others working towards farmer-centric, interoperable and secure data systems.
